Film Producer's Workshop

In August 2025, Chalachitra Lab organised a two-week “Film Producers Workshop” in Nepal. The programme brought together emerging and aspiring film producers, along with filmmakers interested in gaining a deeper understanding of the production process.

In Nepal, the role of a producer is often seen primarily as that of a financier. This workshop aimed to expand that perception by introducing producing as a comprehensive creative and managerial role that spans a film’s journey from concept development to production and distribution.

The workshop consisted of ten structured sessions focused on different aspects of producing, including project development, creative decision-making, production planning, and distribution strategies. Designed as a mentorship-based learning space, the sessions encouraged direct interaction between participants and experienced industry professionals.
